What is Wipzie?
Wipzie is a gamified cleaning app for iOS that turns household chores into a game. It organizes your home room by room, gives every chore a recurring schedule, lets you share the work with family or roommates, and rewards each completed chore with points, a household streak, and a leaderboard, so a spotless home actually feels fun. An AI assistant handles the stains you don't know how to tackle.
Is Wipzie free?
Yes. Wipzie is free to download, and the part you use every day costs nothing: room-based chore scheduling, per-chore reminders, the week calendar, the activity history, the leaderboard, and points and streaks. The free plan covers a starter set of rooms and up to 10 chores. An optional Wipzie Pro subscription, monthly or annual, unlocks the Wipzie AI assistant, shared households with up to 8 members, unlimited rooms and chores, chore rotation, and Vacation Mode. You only ever need one subscription per home.
Is Wipzie available on Android?
Not yet. Wipzie is currently an iOS app for iPhone, available on the App Store. Android is on the roadmap; follow Wipzie on social media for updates. In the meantime, the Wipzie blog's cleaning schedules, chore charts, and motivation guides work on any device.
How does the AI stain assistant work?
Snap a photo of any stain or mess, and Wipzie's AI identifies the likely cause, detects the surface, and writes safe, step-by-step cleaning instructions for that exact situation. Photograph a red wine splash on a wool rug, for example, and the plan will differ from the one for the same wine on a sealed wooden floor, with different products, techniques, and safety warnings. Turn on advanced mode and Wipzie asks three quick questions first, covering what caused the stain, what material it's on, and how long it's been there, which sharpens the plan further. Add the cleaning products you already own to your Product Cabinet and every plan is built around what's actually under your sink. No advice that starts with a shopping trip. Afterwards you can ask follow-up questions in chat and save an after photo and notes to the session.
What's the best way to split chores fairly?
Make all the work visible, give every chore a named owner, and rotate the jobs nobody likes. Fairness in housework is mostly a visibility problem. A chore that isn't assigned to a specific person becomes everyone's job, and therefore no one's. Wipzie automates all three steps: every chore carries an effort level (so five quick chores can't masquerade as half the workload), assignments are explicit with per-member permissions, rotation hands a chore to the next person on its own, and weekly, monthly, and lifetime leaderboards keep score so nobody has to. It works for any setup, including families with kids, couples, or roommates sharing a flat, and everyone joins with a simple invite code.
How does Wipzie make cleaning fun?
Wipzie turns cleaning into a game your whole household plays together. Every chore you complete pays points scaled to its effort: light chores pay less, heavy ones pay more, and those points feed a household leaderboard you can rank by week, by month, or lifetime. The house also shares one streak, and it's designed to be kept rather than lost: completing a single due chore covers the day for everyone, and a day with nothing scheduled keeps the streak safe on its own, so rest days never punish you. The Activity tab then shows the whole history as a grid of days. The chores stay the same; the feedback loop changes, and that's what turns a boring routine into momentum.
How do I see what my household has actually done?
The Activity tab turns your cleaning history into a grid, with one square per day. You can view it by house, by room, by person, or by individual chore, over the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or the whole year. Crucially, each day is judged against what was actually scheduled: a day with nothing due stays green rather than counting against you, and only a due chore that nobody completed shows up as missed. A leaderboard sits alongside it, ranked by points or by chores completed.
Can I build a recurring cleaning schedule by room?
Yes. Set up your rooms once, add chores with the frequency you choose, from daily and weekly to monthly, yearly, or any custom interval, and Wipzie surfaces only what's due. You can also add one-off chores and give any chore a future start date. Each chore carries an effort level, and if you fall behind, the app stays calm instead of burying you in overdue chores.
How does Wipzie help me stay on track?
Wipzie keeps the plan visible without turning one missed day into a pile-up. The day view shows what's due now, recurring chores resurface automatically, and you can set a free per-chore reminder that pushes at the time you choose and skips itself if someone else does the chore first. Points, the shared household streak, the leaderboard, and the Activity grid make progress easy to see the moment you open the app.

Is my data private?

Can I pause Wipzie while I'm away?
Yes. Vacation Mode, part of Wipzie Pro, pauses your whole home until a date you pick, for up to 180 days. Chores stop coming due, reminders stop firing, and your house freshness and streak are held exactly where you left them, so a week away doesn't cost you a streak you spent months building. When the date arrives, everything resumes on its normal schedule.
