Questions, answered.
Everything people ask about Wipzie, from pricing and the AI stain assistant to shared households and cleaning trophies.
What is Wipzie?
Wipzie is a gamified cleaning app for iOS that turns household chores into a game. It builds a smart, recurring cleaning schedule for your home, lets you share chores with family or roommates, solves stains with an AI assistant, and rewards every clean with XP, streaks, and trophies, so a spotless home actually feels fun.
Is Wipzie free?
Yes. Wipzie is free to download, and the core experience (scheduling chores, completing tasks, earning XP) costs nothing. An optional Wipzie Pro subscription, monthly or annual, unlocks the full toolkit: shared households with up to 8 members, the Wipzie AI assistant, unlimited rooms, an unlimited before-and-after gallery, planned timer routines, and the advanced stats dashboard. And you only ever need one subscription per home: invite up to 8 people and everyone shares your Pro automatically.
Is Wipzie available on Android?
Not yet. Wipzie is currently an iOS app for iPhone, available on the App Store. Android is on the roadmap; follow Wipzie on social media for updates. In the meantime, the Wipzie blog's cleaning schedules, chore charts, and motivation guides work on any device.
How does the AI stain assistant work?
Snap a photo of any stain or mess, and Wipzie's AI identifies the likely cause, detects the surface, and writes safe, step-by-step cleaning instructions for that exact situation. Photograph a red wine splash on a wool rug, for example, and the plan will differ from the one for the same wine on a sealed wooden floor, with different products, techniques, and safety warnings. Even better, add the cleaning products you already own to your Product Cabinet, and Wipzie builds every plan around what's actually under your sink. No advice that starts with a shopping trip. Each plan can then be run as a guided cleaning session with a timer, so you go from photo to fixed in one flow.
What's the best way to split chores fairly?
Make all the work visible, give every chore a named owner, and rotate the jobs nobody likes. Fairness in housework is mostly a visibility problem. A chore that isn't assigned to a specific person becomes everyone's job, and therefore no one's. Wipzie automates all three steps: every task shows its estimated time and effort (so five quick chores can't masquerade as half the workload), assignments are explicit with permissions for who can add or complete tasks, and weekly and monthly household leaderboards keep score so nobody has to. It works for any setup, including families with kids, couples, or roommates sharing a flat, and everyone joins with a simple invite code.
How does Wipzie make cleaning fun?
Wipzie treats cleaning like a game you're levelling up in. Every chore you complete earns XP scaled to its effort: light tasks pay less, heavy ones pay more, and XP carries you through 50 levels. Cleaning on consecutive days builds a streak you won't want to break, with a comeback bonus instead of a guilt trip when life interrupts. There are 57 trophies to unlock, from “Beginner Wiper” through “Dust Buster” up to “Cleaning Legend,” covering streaks, milestones, and special feats like a late-night clean. Meanwhile your stats, including time cleaned, calories burned, and tasks completed, add up visibly week over week. The chores stay the same; the feedback loop changes, and that's what turns a boring routine into momentum.
Does cleaning burn calories, and does Wipzie track that?
Yes. Vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing typically burn roughly 150–250 calories per hour. Wipzie's cleaning timer estimates the calories you burn for each activity and duration, with a live counter while you clean and a full summary at the end, so cleaning sessions double as light workouts.
Can I build a recurring cleaning schedule by room?
Yes. Set up your rooms once, add tasks with the frequency you choose, from daily and weekly to monthly or anything in between, and Wipzie surfaces only what's due today. Each task shows estimated time and effort, and if you fall behind, the app stays calm instead of burying you in overdue chores.
How does Wipzie help me stay on track?
Wipzie keeps the plan visible without turning one missed day into a pile-up. The Today view shows what's due now, recurring chores resurface automatically, and streaks, XP, trophies, and leaderboards make progress easy to see when you open the app.
How is Wipzie different from other chore apps?
Most chore apps do one thing: track tasks. Wipzie is the only cleaning app that combines an AI stain assistant, full gamification (XP, streaks, trophies), shared households with leaderboards, a calorie-tracking cleaning timer, and before/after photo galleries in one place, covering the planning, the doing, and the motivation.
What is the Product Cabinet?
Your digital cleaning cupboard. Scan or add the cleaning products you own, and Wipzie keeps them organized in one place. The AI assistant then personalizes every stain-removal plan around the products you actually have, with no advice that starts with a shopping trip.
Is my data private?
Yes. Wipzie has no ads and no tracking SDKs, and never sells your data. Your photos and household data are used only to run the app's features. The full details live in the privacy policy at wipzie.com/privacy.
